Famous Bulgarian novelist presents new book

Svoboda Bachvarova, a renowned Bulgarian writer, presented her new three-volume book ‘In Particularly Painful Way…’ today at her arrival at Sofia after 20 years spent abroad. In her work the author describes crimes committed against personality of Bulgarian citizens after their liberation from Ottoman slavery

Bachvarova makes deep analyses of the founding, development and crash of the ideologies of the 20th century in the context of her own life story. She says she was able to meet and talk to many voivodes and people from Belgium, Spain and France who were members of the anti-fascist organizations along with her father.

A movie based on the novel has already been shot by the Bulgarian director Rossen Elezov.

The book will also be officially presented in Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, Karlovo and Blagoevgrad in the time period of September 23 – 30.
