The austrian consortium Doppelmayr expressed interest in the construction of a lift that will connect the Bulgarian city Ruse to the Romanian Giurgevo over the river Danube.

The company is among the leaders of ski lift developers and has already given a written application for the project to the municipality of Giurgevo.

A 170-page long catalogue with Doppelmayr lifts in over 31 countries was attached to the application, when it was given on November 13th.
