Bono with a special video message for the BG Radio awards

The annual music awards of BG Radio 2009 were given out at a ceremony in Hall 1 of the National palace of culture on May 31st. This year, the legendary frontman of the music titans U2, social activist and defender of nature, knight of the British empire and rocker – Bono.

The singer, who is engaged in various social and rebelious causes, will turn to the Bulgarian audience with a video message in support of the green campaign of the BG Radio.

The media dedicates this year’s awards to the keeping of nature and states that “If everyone does something small, the effect will be enormous”.

The frontman of the Irish band personally stands behind the idea. Thanks to BG Radio, Bono will turn to Bulgarian audiences for the first time, greeting them in Bulgarian. The motto of this year’s ceremony was: “Clean Bulgarian music for clean Bulgarian nature.”
