This year’s awards for the best football player of Bulgaria for the past season in all the different positions of the game will take place on December 27th.

Dimitar Berbatov is, once again, the likely winner of the “Football player of the year” prize, according to the press.

Some nominations include Georgi Petkov for “Best Goalkeeper”, Kiril Kotev and Ivan Ivanov for “Best Defenders”, Ivan Stoyanov and Todor Yanchev for “Best Halfs”, Zdravko Lazarov and Georgi Ivanov-Gonzo for “Best Attackers”, Pavel Vidanov and Victor Petakov for “Best Young Player”, Dimitar Berbatov, Martin Petrov and Stilyan Petrov for “Football Player of 2008”.
