One of the surprises of the “Na tamno” stage of the festival Spirit of Burgas is the confirmed participation of the brass orchestra “Karandila”.

The brass orchestra will be at the festival stage on August 16th as the key point of the themed “Balkan music night”.

The attractive musicians from “Karandila” are very experienced from performances at international music forums, jazz festivals and even the Volksoper Wien.

Several years ago, they were the hit of the Berlin festival “Jazz Across the Border”. After that they took part in the European tour of Goran Bregovic. The orchestra is a mainstay of the spectacles of Kamen Donev. In 2009, they took part in the Park Live fest alongside Tricky and Roots Manuva.

“Karandila” are very far from the cliche “folklore orchestra”, combining their brass music with different styles – afro beat, electronic samples.
