Bulgarian women own or lead one third of the companies in Bulgaria, said Anna Yaneva (the Economy and Energetic under secretary) on the seminar, organized by the Italian institute of foreign trade and the Association of Bulgarian women undertakers ‘Selena’ in Plovdiv.

Business ladies in Bulgaria amount 60 000 and 63% of Bulgarian women have university education which is higher than average in Europe. Bulgaria is among the countries with best representation of women with leadership positions in the EU, added Yaneva.
