The third ferry boat line to Bulgaria starts within a week
The line between Varna and port Caucasus – the third railway/ferry boat line for Bulgaria – will be opened by March 3rd.
This was announced in Plovdiv by the minister of transport Petar Mutafchiev. He also announced, that in two weeks Bulgaria will present to Georgia the project for an agreement on the ferry boat line Varna – Poti – Batumi. Mutafchiev added, that Georgia gas already accepted the Bulgarian proposal and the contract itself will be signed by the end of June 2009.
According to the minister, the improvement of the relations between the two countries will open up the possibilities for economical connections.
The line Varna – Poti – Batumi will be the fourth ferry boat line after Silistra – Kalafat, Varna – Caucaus and the almost completed Nikopol – Turnu Magurele.
