The realization of Sevtopolis project will cost 200 million Euro

About 200 million Euro will be needed for the realization of the project for restoration of the ancient city of Sevtopolis, located in the waters of ‘Koprinka’ dam. This was announced by architect Zheko Tilev, author of the project.

According to Tilev, about 150 million Euro will be spent on constructing the round installation, surrounding the ancient Thracian city, and for the exhibition – no more than 5-10 million Euro.

Dimitar Mandradzhiev (chairman of the ‘National union Keep the Bulgarian’ and initiator of the realization of the project) explained that for each year of the exploitation of the object, only for the first 5 years, it is expected of it to generate 5 000 foreign tourists.

In addition, Zheko Tilev said that 2% of the tourism in Bulgaria are culture-historical tourism, having in mind the fact that Bulgaria takes the third place in Europe for culture-historical heritage.

With a project like Sevtopolis we can push the development of the culture tourism in Bulgaria forward, added he.
