The contracts on the ISPA program – signed

By the end of the year, the contracts for absorption of the funds from the ISPA program (507 million euro for Bulgaria) will be signed. That was the announcement of the minister Dzhevdet Chakarov at the construction site of a water pruifying station in Shumen. He claimed full responsibility that all projects be finished on time and the funds will be absorbed to the last euro. Chakarov also said, that the ministry has already overcome the slow down from the period 2000 – 2005.

“At the beginning of the mandate, we found three purifying stations – in Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad and Gorna Oriahovitsa – ready for construction, and contracts for about 60 million euro approved ISPA funds. Right now, we have contracts for 300 million euro,” explained minister Chakarov. He also emphasized on the fact that numerous projects were saved, among them being the purifying stations in Shumen and Popovo. The minister announced, that the savings from the ISPA program will also be realized successfully.
