Stanishev: Russia seeks alternative ways to transfer gas

“It is unacceptable to make Europe a hostage of the gas conflict between Russia and Ukraine.”

This was emphasized by the prime minister of Bulgaria Sergey Stanishev after ending his meeting between prime ministers of Bulgaria, Russia, Moldova and Slovakia in the residence in Novo Ogariovo, which lasted for over an hour.

“We can not be mediators of the trade disagreement between Russia and Ukraine, these are their own relationships,” added he. His words were backed by the entire European Union. EU claims that both sides have contracts to fulfill and they have to find a way to do that.
