Restart! The parliament voted “yes” on the 3rd and 4th reactors issue

With 140 votes “for”, 48 – “against” and 23 abstentions the parliament voted the proposal of the energetics commission on the issues caused by the the gas crisis.

The decision states that the government of the Republic of Bulgaria should strive to interact with the European Commission for the possibilities to restart the stopped 3rd and 4th reactors of the Nuclear power plant “Kozloduy” in accordance with the law of the EU and the safety requirements.

The decision also states that the government must ask the EU institutions to review their decisions for the stopping of the nuclear reactors, in accordance with the worldwide financial and economical crisis.
