Protests in Bulgaria far from over

The protests in front of the parliament building in Sofia are still going on.

The remonstrants want the resignation of the socialist government, which is considered to be unable to deal with the economical problems, crime and corruption, writes the russian newspaer “Commersant”.

In the nearing days, the protests in Bulgaria could grow to unexpected heights. According to media announcements, the anti-government demonstrations are lead by university students, farmers and ecologists. Even policemen protest today, demanding higher salaries and better working conditions.
