Martin Petrov in Tottenham

The Bulgarian national player Martin Petrov will transfer from Manchester City to Tottenham FC literally in the closing hours of the summer transfer period.

The manager of the Spurs Harry Redknapp is resolute in his demand for the former Manchester City player, and the heavy injury of Luka Modric was the event that sealed the manager’s interest in Petrov. The Croatian player broke his leg in the last match against Birmingham.

Yesterday, Martin was once again among the reserves and did not participate in City’s victory over Portsmouth.

The 30 year old left wing will play on “White Hart Lane” for the sum of 3,5 million pounds.

Thus the “Bulgarian trace” in the London team will be continued – two seasons ago, the captain of the Bulgarian national team Dimitar Berbatov was playing in Tottenham.
