Increase of tourism trip with the Bulgarian railways

Bulgarian railways (BDZ) noted an increase of income from tourism trips by 15% compared to 2007, said the director of “Exploitation and marketing” Nelly Raikova.

The share of income of such travels in the total income of the company is 1-2%.

According to Raikova, in 2008 customers that wanted a trip with the luxury trains “Korona express” and “Vitosha express” have changed.

The number of tourism trips, luxury trips and trips related to official meetings or company parties has grown significantly.
