Gusts of wind in Varna

Strong winds closed down the harbour in Varna. The restrictive measures are in effect since 9 AM. For now, the restriction applies only to empty ships, but further restrictions for loaded vessels may be applied later today.

The wind blows through sea capital of Bulgaria with a speed of 11 meters per second. The temperature of the sea water is 23-24 degrees. A tree has fallen near the Grand hotel “Varna” because of the gusts of wind.

Earlier today, citizens of Varna complained about a massive traffic jam at the main roads of the city.
