“We have the biggest number of policemen and public prosecutors per capita in Europe”, informed the minister of justice Miglena Tacheva during the presentation of the concept of the revisions in the criminal codex in the law instiute today.

At the moment the magistrates are discussing the concepts for a new codex, introduced by minister Tacheva.

The concept aims at the lighter treatment of crimes of lower level of social danger, through several changes in the criminal law.

Among the main means to achieve this goal is to differentiate issues in the criminal codex and lower the legal repression for crimes that stipulate 5 years of imprisonment.
