According to a report of the Ministry of environment, Bulgarian air is the most polluted air in the entire territory of the European Union, with data showing 55 micrograms of dust particles per cubic meter.

The average level of pollution of the air in the European Union is 30 micrograms per cubic meter.

The high level of pollution is due to the increased level of traffic of vehicles, the use of older cars, the coal heating and the violation of European standards in the heavy industries and heating plants.

During the parliamentary gathering, the deputee from the democrats of DSB Ivan Ivanov reminded, that 26 countries in the European Union offer a mixture of mineral and biological fuels at gas stations, but Bulgaria is not among them.
