Borisov accepted the resignation of the chief of DANS

The prime minister Borisov accepted the resignation of the chief of the Agency for National Security (DANS) Petko Sertov.

As early as Saturday it was clear that Sertov sent his resignation, but until today everyone awaited the position of the prime minister.

The governmental press center clarified that Borisov co-ordinated his decision with the president Parvanov.

On a meeting with Sertov, the prime minister thanked him for his work at the head of DANS so far and expressed his wishes to optimize the work and bolster the popularity of the agency.

On Saturday it was made clear that the new chief of DANS will be Tsvetelin Yonchev.

His application, also co-ordinated with the president, will be voted on during the meeting of the Council of ministers on Wednesday, August 5th. Then the application will be taken to the president, who will issue an order for his appointment as a new chief of DANS.
