Bansko will invest 10 million in infrastructure in 2009

Investments for 10 million leva in the infrastructure of Bansko will be provided in 2009, announced bansko.net, citing the mayor of the city – Alexander Kravarov. Part of the investments will be used for the completion of the road between Bansko and the mountain hostel Vihren and the infrastructure in the tourist zones Gramadeto, Asanitsa and Karantiata.

Among the approved projects is the construction of a Rollbahn on the Banderishka meadow for summer biathlon. Water pipes for both Bansko and Dobrinishte will also be financed.

According to Kravarov, the construction in the resort hasn’t stopped, but is only done in zones free of tourists. No excavators and construction machines can be seen in the city.
