The first offers for free accomodations after spa procedures and other extras appeared in the resort Bansko. Because of the weak season so far and the upcoming jazz festival many hotels announced their promotional packages, stated Yanka Rahova – chairman of the union of tourism businesses in Bansko.

According to her, the packages are offering big discounts, including the organization of picnic trips in the mountain, hiking with tourist guides, fishing, horseback riding, etc.

Due to the crisis, Bansko is trying to escape from the image of an expensive resort and attract the maximum number of tourists during the summer, said Rahova.

The hotel “Vihren palace” were the first to offer free accomodations after spa procedures. The hotel provides an apartment for two nights on the condition that the tourists use the spa and relaxation procedures within a fixed amount – 199 leva. These money can be spent in any way within the hotel, including the lobby bar, night bar and spa procedures.
