5,5 million leva income from hunting tourism

This year the income from hunting tourism will be around 5,5 million leva, 500 thousand more than last year, announce expert.bg, based on informationf from Focus Agency.

The data was given by the member of parliament-president of the National agency of woods Iordan Radoslavov during a press conference in the International fair in Plovdiv.

From the beginning of the year, 115 hunting trophies have been taken, and a third of them have received golden medals.

According to prof. Nino Ninov, rector of the University of forest sciences and president of the Committee for hunting trophies and exhibitions, part of the Worldwide council for perservation of the game, the data show that the safekeeping of the game reserve was on a high level of professionalism. The increasing investments in the niche and the changes of the hunting laws resulted in the opening of new hunting grounds and an increase of profits.

The most valuable hunting trophies in the last 10 years were presented in a special exhibition in seventh hall of the Plovdiv fair. The exhibition lasted until November 2nd. The problems of the small game were also discussed.
