We have an absolute record of income – 52.7 million leva, compared to 33.97 million in 2007. We serviced about eight million tons of cargo,” said the chief executive of the harbour Danail Papazov.

According to him, the wage fund has also increased. It has been 33.7 million in 2007. The expenses have raised that sum to 46 million. The income of the harbour before amortizations was six million leva, and after taxes and amortization it’s a little over three million.

“The results for the first five months of this year are giving hope to the harbour of Varna, our income is steady and the profit is about 1 million leva. This is about the same as the same period of last year”, added Papazov.
