A new post stamp was validated on a special ceremony at Tsarevets hill on occasion of the 100th anniversary since the Bulgarian Independence proclamation.

The jubilee stamp was made by the State agency for information technology and communications. Together with ‘Bulgarian post’ the Agency will put to use a special postal philatelic edition.

The jubilee edition represents a block of one post stamp in total print of 15 000 copies and an illustrated envelope in total print of 4 340 copies with a special postal seal. The stamp has a picture of Tsar Ferdinand I on it and costs 0.60 leva. The jubilee envelope has the image of the ‘40 Holy Martyrs’ church.

Right after the validation, 300 stamps were given away to the presents at Tsarevets hill.
