The position of the EC for SAPARD should not be tied to the elections

The expected position of the European commission regarding the blocked finances for the program SAPARD should not be tied in any way to the political changes and the election results in Bulgaria.

This was the comment of the vice-minister for the management of EU funds Meglena Plugchieva. Plugchieva expects the statement of the European Commission to arrive before the summer vacation.

The European Commission bases their decisions solely on the base of completed tasks, removed weaknesses and functioning EU systems for management and control, stated she.
