The mayor of the municipality of Stara Zagora prof. Svetlin Tanchev will personally lead the operative meeting that evaluates the ongoing repairs of the opera in Stara Zagora. This was announced by the press center of the municipality.

Prof. Tanchev was resolute that the deadline for the renovation works and the re-opening of the building is this Christmas.

“The citizens have been waiting for this opening for years. We have no right to break our promises. The first of them – that we won’t open the opera if the mechanisms of the scene aren’t repaired – is already kept”, said prof. Tanchev at the meeting. “This renovation resulted in lengthier work time. To top things off, we’re working during a crisis. But despite all hardships, our engagements have to be completed.”
