Over 17 000 people visited the Festival of sand figures in Burgas, announced burgasnews.com.

The record setting attendance was registered just within the first month of the opening of the festival.

The income from the tickets for the event is 31 500 leva. In comparison, last year’s total income was 21 224 leva.

The making of the sand figures required over three thousand tons of sand. The number of sand figures is 28.
