Paralympics will take place between June 13th – September 27th in Sofia. They will feature days with various adapted sport activities for people with disabilities. This was announced at a press conference by dr. Ivan Yanev, chairman of the Sport club for integration of people with disabilities “Vitosha”.

Contestants from both Sofia and the provinces will participate in the Paralympics, even foreigners, added Yanev. The Bulgarian paralympic team deserves our absolute admiration and attention, said Georgi Semerdjiev from the sport club “Levski”. Our biggest success was the goalball golden medals from the European championship in Portugal between May 22nd – 28th. The Bulgarian team was the only one without a loss, noted Yanev.
