GSM calls – cheaper after July 1st

Submitted on Sunday, 15 March 2009No Comment

The Commisson for regulation of communication announced a planned decrease of prices from stationary to mobile phones with 14% and from mobile phones to other mobiles with 8% in the hours of heavy traffic.

This was made possible after the Commisson for regulation of communication took heed of the recommendations of the European commission and will introduce the so-called immediate symmetry between wholesale rates. It goes in effect on July 1st.

During slight traffic, the reduction of prices will be 24% for communication between a stationary and a mobile phone, and by 10,5% between mobile phones.

In the beginning of the next year, another decrease of prices is planned – by nearly 11%, and another on July 1st 2010 – with over 36% in the hours with heavy traffic.

Thus the total reduction of prices for mobile network communication will be between 42 and 56%.
