Unit 6 of the nuclear power plant in Kozloduy repaired
The planned annual repairs of Unit 6 of Bulgaria’s nuclear power plant in Kozloduy were completed successfully and minutes before midnight on Saturday it was turned on. The permission for putting the reactor into operation was given by the Nuclear Regulation Agency in Sofia.
The repairs started on August 23 and were completed as scheduled. The reactor was also reloaded with new fuel. The other reactor of the nuclear plant, Unit 5, was also repaired during the summer and is currently working at 100% of its capacity.
