The only original cherry-tree cannon in Bulgaria is kept in Bratsigovo, said the director of the History museum in Bratsigovo Ekaterina Damyanova.

The cherry-tree cannon is only a part of the exhibition that shows the preparation, outbreak and course of the April Uprising in the rebel headquarters of Bratsigovo.

Among the exponents are originals from the struggles of the Uprising – rifles, scimitars, pistols. The rebel’s flag, sewn by the teacher Anna Gizdova, is also kept there.
