The contribution of Bulgaria, one of exceptional professionalism and feeling of duty, does not only benefit the Iraq and the Coalition, but every country that made effort to secure the region.

This was announced by the US ambassador in Bulgaria Nancy McEldowney on the topic of the ending of the Bulgarian mission in Iraq.

“Regarding international peace and safety, Bulgaria proved to be an invaluable ally and steadfast friend. Bulgaria’s decision to join the Coaltion was not an easy one and had it’s price”, adds the ambassador. Tomorrow the Bulgarian soldiers return home from Iraq, their mission there successfuly completed.
