Today begins the sixth charity campaign “The Bulgarian Christmas. Give hope to a child in need.” The campaign gathers funds to the aid of sick children, and for the purchase of medical equipment for paediatric wards. The charitable campaign is under the patronage of the president Georgi Parvanov and his wife, Zorka Parvanova.

Over 11 and a half million leva were gathered In the previous five runs of the “Bulgarian Christmas”. Nearly 300 children in need were helped, and medical equipment worth nearly 9 million leva for over 76 paediatric wards was provided for.
