The leader of the political party NDSV Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha sent a greeting telegram to the former President of Finland Martti Ahtisaari to congratulate him on his Nobel Peace Prize.

The Norwegian Nobel committee has chosen Ahtisaari for his many years of work as a mediator in peace negotiations including with the rebels in the Indonesia province Aceh and his plan for settling the status of Kosovo.

The chairman of the parliament commission in foreign policy Solomon Pasi commented that the prize is the proof of Ahtisaari’s exceptional role as a peace-maker and is a stimulus to everyone fighting for world peace.
