Russia will fulfil the engagements for gas shipments for Bulgaria, and the shipment of any additional gas will be negotiated for, said the prime minister of Russia Vladimir Putin after negotiations with his Bulgarian colleague Sergei Stanishev.

In accordance with the contract between Gazprom and the Bulgarian side, signed for the period until 2030, Russia has to deliver 17 billion tons of gas to Bulgaria per year.

As Stanishev noted, Bulgaria is very interested in the fulfilment of these contracts.

Putin added that the contracts are satisfactory for both Gazprom and the Bulgarian partners.
