On the initiative of Geoffrey Van Orden, European deputees insisted that the European commission support the appeal of the Bulgarian government to re-open the 3rd and 5th block of the Atomic Power Plant “Kozlodui”, announced the press officials of the group of ENP.

The ex-reporter for Bulgaria in the European parliament Van Orden reminded in a letter to the commissary for energetics Andris Piebalgs his warnings for the ependence on Russia regarding natural gas, which would lead to a crisis – much like the one Bulgaria experiences now. His letter was suppoerted by the Bulgarian Eurodeputee from GERB Vladimir Uruchev.
