An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale felt in Bulgaria
A new earthquake shook Bulgaria’s territory. The tremor was felt in Kardjali, Haskovo, Plovdiv and Sofia, and was followed by over 40 secondary tremors.
The earthquake’s magnitude is about 5 on the Richter scale and was registered near midnight on December 29th.
Scientists reveal the epicentre to be 300 kilometres to the Southeast of Sofia, outside Bulgaria’s territory – in the Aegean Sea. There is no data for casualties due to the earthquake. No earthquakes are to be expected soon on Bulgarian soil.
