The number of official destillers in Bulgaria is 1601. This is data from the register for small destillers in the country.
The register of the places where alcohol is destilled, as defined by the Ministry of economics and energetics, contains the names of firms from all across Bulgaria.
A quick inspection reveals that the most registered destillers are in the region of Kazanlak, Targovishte and Gabrovo.
