Valeri Bozhinov: I hope God is a Bulgarian

“I hope that God will be a Bulgarian once again, as he was back in 1993 on Parc des Princes”, said the striker of the Bulgarian national football team Valeri Bozhinov when asked about the upcoming qualifications game for the World Cup against Ireland.

The Bulgarian team will face Ireland on June 6th at 20:30 PM on the National stadium “Vasil Levski” in a decisive game of the eighth qualifications group for the World Cup 2010.

“It will be a very tough game against the Irish, but we need the three points”, added Bozhinov. “Finishing the season with a victory and winning the three points is the main goal – and after that each match will be a final to us. Actually, the match with Ireland will feel like finals too.”

“If mr. Stoilov decides to put me in the team, I’ll give my best,” added the Manchester City player.

When asked if he’ll change teams this summer, the striker of Manchester City explained that he wants to enjoy the Premier League for as long as he could. “As you know, I’ve been injured for a long time”, concluded he.
