Two yacht projects worth 58 million euro – postponed

Submitted on Friday, 27 February 2009No Comment

Two expensive projects for yacht ports and hotel complexes in Sozopol worth 58 million euro had been postponed because of the effects of the financial crisis.

The first sod of the “Marinite” had been turned in September of last year. The investors “Yachting BG” and “Marina Port Sozopol” confessed that they have difficulties in realizing their prior plans.

“We haven’t given up on the project and our investments have not been frozen. The situation demands that we postpone our project for a later date. It will most probably be resumed in September,” says Alex Linchev, director of “Marketing and sales” of the “Signature” company, exclusive broker of Marina Port Sozopol.

According to him, the postponement of the construction was imperative because of the lacking sales in 2008.
