Tsvetan Tsvetanov: 7 EU deputies of GERB

“A minimum of five, realistically six, and optimistically seven representatives of GERB will enter the European parliament,” said Tsvetan Tsvetanov – chairman of the political party GERB in an interview for the Bulgarian national radio.

“Europe expects from Bulgaria to abide by the rules, which is imperative for the full membership of Bulgaria in the European Union. Europe wants to make sure that the money of the European tax payer that are given to Bulgaria are spent accordingly. Unfortunately, the corruption among the high ranks of the government, in the non-governmental organizations and in Bulgarian society makes it hard to receive the much needed trust in the times of an economical crisis,” said Tsvetanov.

He denied the claims that elections might be delayed, saying that it’s “factually impossible”.
