The tourist paths in the region of Veliko Tarnovo – more than 120 km. long

The tourist paths in the region of Veliko Tarnovo are over 120 km. long, announced Georgi Dimitrov – secretary of the union “Trapezitsa 1902”.

The numerous tourist paths that cross the city lead to places of cultural and natural importance.

There are ecological paths to the west, in the region of “Sinia vir” (the Blue pool), near the branching road between the villages Bukovets and Shenshovo, and near the artificial lake in Dalbok dol.

Dimitrov said that the latter two are easier routes. “Near “Sinia vir”, there are two routes, one of which goes around the steep rocks. The other one is primarily used by climbers, and is on an entirely different level of difficulty. It is still a tourist path however, and can not be considered true mountaineering. On a scale of 1 to 10, it probably ranks at 5 or 6 in terms of difficulty.” Dimitrov reminded that there is no need of special equipment for any of the paths.
