The first quantities of natural gas from Russia through Ukraine are already in the gas pipe network of Bulgaria. The minimum that Bulgaria requested was 8.6 million cubic metres of natural gas per day. Larger quantities are currently being provided.

The incoming gas is from the Ukrainian pipe network and is only for internal needs of Bulgaria, announces the Ministry of economics and energetics.

The transit of gas through the territory of Bulgaria to other countries will be restored after the quantities of Russian gas fill up the Ukrainian transit system.
