The most modern ski lift on the Balkans

Pamporovo opened the ski season with the most modern lift on the Balkans. The lift will carry skiers from the peak Stoykite to the peak Snezhanka. The length of the modern machine, constructed by the French company “Pomagalski”, is 2 992 metres. The lift has a capacity of 2 400 people per hour and moves with 6 metres per second, making it the fastest lift in Bulgaria.

The seats feature a helmet; the passengers are protected from wind, snow and cold. The machine is optically connected to both stations and it’s condition is watched at all times. The superlift is worth five million euro. The starting point is 200 metres away from the houses near Stoykite and the main road Devin – Smolyan.

The new skier routes on the northern slope of the resort lead to the new lift station. In parallel with the new lift, two more tracks were made – for experts and for novices.
