The hotel Hilton Sofia will join the global campaign Earth Hour 2009 along with 60 other hotels from the hotel chain in Europe.

Earth Hour 2009 will take place on March 28th. Hilton Sofia and other participants in the campaign will turn off the lights for an hour at exactly 20:30.

The environmentalist organization WWF organized the campaign with the goal to reach more than a billion people. Earth hour seeks to draw attention to the serious issue of climate changes.

Hilton will organize many events to the aid of the campaign. The internal lighting of the building, the lighting of corridors and lobbies will be turned off. The hotel will organize a candle-lit dinner for it’s guests.
