The government takes measures for the garbage crisis in Sofia

The prime minister Sergei Stanishev demanded information from the Mnistry of healthcare and the Ministry of environment and waters for the current situation of the garbage crisis in Sofia.

At a special meeting with the minister of the environment and waters Dzhevdet Chakarov and the vice-minister of healthcare Emil Rainov the prime minister was informed that the unsystematic care for the wastes of the capital, containing diseases and decay, could be a potential epidemic threat to Sofia.

The prime minister Sergei Stanishev ordered a report from the Ministry of healthcare, the Ministry of environment and waters and the Ministry of regional development on the crisis and possible solutions to this serious issue of the capital Sofia.
