The election campaign in Bulgaria starts

The campaign for the 41st elections for a National Assembly begins on June 14th 2009. Voting begins on July 5th 2009.

The campaign closes on July 4th 2009 at 00:00 AM.

Until the end of the voting day, campaigning is strictly prohibited.

Due to the recent changes in the laws for national representatives, the period for the campaign has been shortened from 30 to 21 days.

The campaign committee of “Coalition for Bulgaria” in Kardjali, the leader of the election lists of the party Stefan Danailov and the majority candidate for a deputee in the National assembly Milko Bagdasarov organized a concert-meeting in front of the monument of the Liberators of the city. Popular stand-up comedians, the singer Toni Dimitrova and the band “Sprint” participated in the event.

The member of parliament lists of “Coalition for Bulgaria” and the majority candidate for Plovdiv Todor Petkov will be presented today in the History museum “Hristo Botev” in Kalofer by the chairman of the local council of BSP Petar Mutafchiev.

The leader of the list of NDSV for the 23rd microregion of Sofia Plamen Konstantinov will meet friends and followers today in the club “Kohiba” in “Student’s district”. The meeting will be followed up with a birthday party for the captain of the national volleyball team.
