The EC sent a positive report to the road infrastructure agency

The “Regional politics” department of the European Commission gave a positive report for the work of the National agency “Road infrastructure” (NAPI). This was announced on tuesday by the chief executive of the agency Yanko Yankov during the conference on “Logistics and infrastructure”.

The EC sent a letter to the agency with the preliminary results of their research. The research itself took place in January. The European Commission checked to make sure that the re-structuring of the control and risk management systems of NAPI works effectively, and that there is an effective system for prevention of conflicts of interests.

“Overall, the conclusions of the report mission are positive”, said Yankov. “This does not mean, however, that the blocked 114 million euro of the ISPA program will be unblocked. This mostly a political decision”, explained Yankov.
