The crags of Belogradchik – nominated to be among the seven wonders of nature

The crags of Belogradchik participate in the nominations to become one of the seven wonders of nature, which began on the website www.new7wonders.com, announced the press department of the municipality.

The crags of Belogradchik will have 260 rivals, located in 222 countries across the world. Among them are Mount Everest, the Grand Canyon, etc., all trying to rank as a wonder of nature.

The nomination of the crags of Belogradchik was announced yesterday at the opening of a hotel complex and spa centre in the city by the Bulgarian hotel and restaurant association (BHRA).

The crags of Belogradchik were pronounced a natural landmark in 1949.
