The chamber of accounts inspects the government “Stanishev”

By September 30th, the chamber of accounts will inspect the budget of the Council of ministers during the last year and a half, as well as the property management of the institution. This was decided at an emergency meeting of the parliamentary commission for budget and finances.

Until then, the report on the effectiveness of spending, financial control and management has to be concluded. The report will also address the acquisition and management of property, and the national compensatory fund. The conformity with the law of the public commissions will also be looked into.

The commission also decided to dismiss Nikolay Nenovski from his post as an assistant-manager of the Bulgarian National Bank.

According to Menda Stoyanova and Iskra Fidosova from GERB, who proposed the dismissal, Nenovski was chosen before the end of the mandate of Tsvetan Manchev.

The chairwoman of the budget commission Menda Stoyanova also noted that the manager of BNB Ivan Iskrov was also chosen ahead of time, but added that the motives of the 40th National Assembly were well-grounded.
