The “Bulgarian Christmas” gathered 2 229 305 leva

The initiative “The Bulgarian Christmas” gathered 2 229 305 leva. The concert itself gathered 315 604 leva, and 1 834 048 leva were gathered before that. That was announced by the show hosts Iskra Angelova and Andrey Zahariev. They also reminded, that the charity hotlines are open until January 1st 2009.

The initiative is under the patronage of the Bulgarian president Georgi Parvanov for the sixth time. The overall funds gathered are 11 662 026 leva; they serviced over 300 hundred children, and bought medical equipment and ambulances worth 8 883 027 leva for 76 paediatric clinics and hospitals.

The concert was opened by the “Bulgare” ensemble, followed by the children singing formation “Bon bon”. Other participants included: the “W” duet, “Akaga”, Nina Nikolina and Kalin Velyov, ensemble “Chinare” and stars from the national television that sang “Moyat grad” (My city).
